SOUTHSIDE GARDEN CLUB MEETS

The Southside Garden Club held its April meeting at the home of Mrs. Richard Baker. Mrs. J.F. Robinson was co-hostess.

Mrs. Arlene Hoffman and Mrs. George Collins presented the program, "Champion Gardening."

Mrs. Lynn Glover was presented with the Beautification Award for her work to improve community garden areas. Members of the club also planted a dogwood tree at the Price Home April 13 in Mrs. Glover's honor.

Mrs. L.E. Moseley received an award for accumulating the most points in design and horticultural in the past year.

Awards for design were given to Mrs. J.W. Blokker, Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Robinson. Horticultural awards went to Mrs. Blokker, Mrs. Glover, Mrs. Robert Hendricks, Mrs. John Muench and Mrs. Robinson.
