BLAND SCHOOL BOARD REPRESENTATIVE TO QUIT

Rex Morehead, who has represented the Mechanicsburg District on the Bland County School Board for nearly 30 years, announced this week that he is resigning.

Morehead said he no longer has the time to give the school post.

The county Board of Supervisors hopes to appoint an interim School Board member by July.
