OBIT FERGUSON, J.

John Herbert Ferguson, age 80, of Roanoke, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was founder and owner of Ferguson Transfer. Surviving are his wife, Marguerite B. Ferguson; three sons, Bobby R. Ferguson, Richmond; William Brooks Ferguson, Jerry B. Ferguson, both of Roanoke; a daughter, Ola Gay Moock, Roanoke; three sisters, Mary Meador, Audrey Altice, both of Roanoke; Ovella Vest, Fla.; three brothers, Calvin W. Ferguson, Eugene Ferguson, Paul Ferguson, all of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 1990 with Pastor Wilmar P. Wegner officiating. Burial will be in Bandy Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
