GREENE MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH'S FINE ARTS SERIES will begin Oct. 7 with an organ recital by Joan Lippincott of Westminister Choir College. Other programs in the November through April Sunday afternoon series at 4 will include pianists, cellists, a Mozart Mass and the London Westminster Cathedral Choir. \ BEDFORD CHRISTIAN CHURCH (DISCIPLES OF CHRIST) has added an 8:45 service to its morning schedule to offer worshipers a choice of both time and style. The 11 a.m. service, said the Rev. Ken Burger, pastor, will remain traditional with laity presiding at Communion and familiar choral music.

The earlier service will be more informal; the pastor will preside at the weekly Communion and will wear street clothes. Hymns will be sung, but special choral music will be occasional. Burger said the service will enable some Sunday workers to attend worship.
