There are many teen-agers still in Vietnam whose referrals have been turned down because of the lack of foster homes, according to Tom Hall, regional director of the Roanoke office of the foster-care agency.
Connections also needs short- and long-term homes for refugee youths from Cambodia and Laos, as well as Vietnam. The agency covers medical and daily living expenses, provides interpreter services, foster family orientation and ongoing support services.
