FLOYD BOARD MAKES INITIAL BUDGET PLANS

The Floyd Board of Supervisors finished initial work on the county's 1990-91 budget Tuesday night.

The supervisors set a public hearing on the nearly $11.6 million budget for May 21 at 6 p.m. Final action on the proposal will be taken after the hearing.

Changes totaling only $3,000 were made to the budget submitted by County Administrator Randy Arno during two work sessions. The School Board's request of almost $8.2 million remained intact. Also, the county's lone proposed source of new revenue, a landfill tipping fee of $15 per ton for commercial and industrial haulers, has not been changed.
