\ SALEM - Donald F. West, Sr., 75, died at his home, 615 Yorkshire St., Salem, Wednesday. He was a native of Floyd, Va. He was a retiree of Pet Dairy, and a member of the New Haven Baptist Church of Floyd. Surviving are his wife, Marie Underwood West of Salem; two daughters, Betty Akers of Vinton; Edith Moore of Gretna; two sons, Junior West of Floyd; and Jimmie West of Salem; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Vest and Mae Dobbins, both of Floyd. Funeral will be Friday 2:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd, with the Rev. J. E. Edwards officiating with interment in Countyline Church Cemetery.
