ORGAN RECITAL PLANNED AT HOLLINS COLLEGE MAY 15

Organist Tom Baugh will give a recital May 15 in Jesse Ball duPont Chapel at Hollins College.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m. and is open to the public without charge.

On Baugh's program are compositions by Buxtehude, Boehm, Van Soldt, Bach, Messiaen and Vierne.

The recital is sponsored by the Roanoke chapter of the American Guild of Organists and is intended, in Baugh's words, to "strike a blow for the organ" as a versatile concert instrument.

Baugh is director of music at Christ Episcopal Church in Roanoke. He trained at Oklahoma City University and Westminster Choir College, with further study at the University of the South, Union Theological Seminary, Salem College, the American Boychoir School and the Royal School of Church Music.
