YWCA BOARD BACKS CONSOLIDATION

THE YWCA of Roanoke Valley is a membership movement of women from diverse backgrounds and faiths committed to empowering women and to eliminating racism. In keeping with our mission, the Board of Directors supports valleywide consolidation.

We recognize that consolidation will be challenging to achieve; however, it will ultimately benefit all valley residents.

Together, we can provide citizens with a more efficient and responsive government accountable to all the people. Together, we can strengthen the economy, which will attract new business into the region, thereby creating additional jobs for residents. Together, we can form a school division second to none in the nation by drawing upon the current strengths of each separate system and educating for future needs, not past needs.

Together, we can accomplish what we cannot achieve alone. MARILYN DONATO President YWCA of Roanoke Valley ROANOKE
