PRESERVATION IS NOT FOR ALL AREAS

IT IS with some interest I note the demolition April 19 of one of the Roanoke Valley's older homes, one that has graced Crystal Springs and its city parks probably more than 100 years.

As we spend many thousands of our tax dollars to preserve the storefronts of Campbell Avenue, our untaxed friends are tearing down what I would consider one of our more historic structures. Why? ROBERT H. KULP ROANOKE
