Women staged the union's first act of civil disobedience when they took over
the lobby of Pittston's headquarters in Lebanon on April 18, 1989. During
their occupation, the union women sang hymns and strike songs and waved small
American flags. After 30 hours, they left - to an emotional reunion with their
husbands, who had kept a vigil at the edge of Pittston property. B&W.
