HATCHER, MARION W.

\ BIG ISLAND - Marion Watson Hatcher, age 85, of Route 1, Big Island, died Sunday, April 29, 1990 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County February 28, 1905, a daughter of the late Elmer Watson and Mary Bell Watson. She was the widow of Harry Elisha Hatcher and was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer E. and Jeanine Hatcher, Big Island; J. Wayne and Orpha Hatcher, Bedford; a sister, Maria H. Fenson, Richmond; grandchildren, Glenn and Peggy Hatcher, Lynn and Rhonda Breedlove, all of Big Island; George and Kim Crognale, High Point, N.C.; Kevin Hatcher, Bedford; one great-grandchild, Christopher Hatcher, Big Island. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family suggests those wishing to make memorials may consider the Big Island Rescue Squad or the Bedford Life Saving Crew. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
