ODAC TITLE BELONGS TO MAROONS

Robin Collinson scored seven goals, including the game-winner with one second remaining, and Roanoke beat Lynchburg 12-11 for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's lacrosse tournament championship.

The Maroons (17-0) scored three goals in the first four minutes and held a 7-3 first-half lead.

With 5:25 left in the game Roanoke led 11-8, but Lynchburg rallied and Mindy Manolovich tied the score at 11 with 30 seconds left. Collinson was fouled with four seconds left and shot and scored the winning goal in the final second. Lynchburg38-11 Roanoke75-12
