INCUMBENT LOSES SEAT

Incumbent Councilman Norman Graham Reynolds was defeated Tuesday in his bid for re-election, according to unofficial election results.

Reynolds received 129 votes - the lowest of the seven candidates for six Glasgow council seats, election officials said.

Elected pending confirmation of the vote count were Roger Bradley, with 145 votes; Gilmore Lunsford, with 160 votes; Roberta Lyle, with 155 votes; Robert Massie, with 156 votes; and Maurice Worth, with 186 votes.

Sam Blackburn was elected mayor without opposition Tuesday, garnering 174 votes.
