BALLOT CANDIDATES WIN 8 FRIES COUNCIL SEATS

The town of Fries came out even in Tuesday's election with eight candidates for eight seats on Town Council, but that did not stop voters from writing in 32 other names.

The winners, however, were those already on the ballot: incumbents Carolyn Jennings Jones, with 87 votes; Gary L. Sumner, with 88; William P. Warrick, the current mayor, 80; and newcomers Charlie J. Gallimore, 62; Harold C. Johnson, 54; Gregory C. Marshall, 25; Doris Hagy Mottesheard, 41; and Christian Maria Kok Vuurmans, 68.
