STOLEN JEWELS, CASH, GUNS SEIZED BY POLICE

As authorities continued to search Tuesday for a fourth suspect in a $1 million jewelry store robbery, Anne Arundel County police helped seize "millions" of dollars worth of loot believed to have been taken in earlier heists.

"I dipped my hands into a shopping bag and just lifted out diamonds and gold watches, more than I've ever seen," said police spokesman V. Richard Molloy. "It was worth millions, millions."

The jewelry was recovered Monday night when county police joined FBI agents and Fairfax County, Va., authorities on a raid on a home of one of three suspects arrested earlier in the day.

There, he said, officers found several shopping bags containing jewelry believed to have been stolen in robberies in Maryland, Virginia and Washington. Also confiscated were 11 handguns, more than $5,000 in cash and receipts for recently purchased items.

Three suspects were arrested in a wooded area not far from the mall shortly after the robbery. They are Terry McGraw, 29, of Annandale, Va., Robert Pittman, 29, of Burke, Va.; and Elie Azar, 27.
