ABINGDON LAWYER TO HEAD TRIAL GROUP

Mary Lynn Tate, a lawyer with the Abingdon firm of Yeary, Tate, Lowe & Jessee, has been named president-elect of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

She will become the association's 32nd president in April 1991, and will be the second woman in its history and the second lawyer from Southwest Virginia to hold that office.

Tate received her law degree from the University of Richmond in 1976 and has practiced in Abingdon since then.
