11 ANTI-ABORTION PROTESTERS SENTENCED

Eleven people arrested in a protest against abortion rights April 21 at the Richmond Medical Center for Women were convicted Tuesday of trespassing.

General District Judge Ralph B. Robertson fined the 10 men and one woman $50 plus court costs. The defendants also were sentenced to 30 days in jail, but the judge suspended the terms for a year, provided the 11 stay out of legal trouble and stay away from the clinic.

The 11 included contractors, businessmen and a professor from Liberty University in Lynchburg.
