INTERVIEWS BEGIN FOR SCHOOL BOARD

Applications are being accepted through Tuesday for two positions on the Pulaski County School Board.

The School Board Selection Commission will make the appointments at 4 p.m. May 15, after hearing comments from the public Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The commission will meet both times at the school administration building on Third Street in Pulaski.

There are three commission members: Chairman J. Ralph Allison, a farmer; Philip M. Sadler, a Pulaski lawyer; and David C. Stanley, a Dublin veterinarian.

Sadler can be reached at his office: 980-1360. His address is P.O. Box 878, Pulaski 24301.

Anyone wishing to apply can write either to a commission member or to the School Board office, P.O. Box 909, Pulaski 24301.

Someone from the Massie District and a member-at-large will be appointed. Both Ann Neighbors, Massie District member, and Thomas Thompson, member-at-large, are applying for reappointment.

Members of the School Board Selection Commission are appointed every four years by a Circuit Court judge. The terms of Allison, Sadler and Stanley expire June 30.

Circuit Judge A. Dow Owens will make the appointments this year.
