"The seven are being given an administrative letter of reprimand that goes in their official file," Lt. Col. Conrad McHugh, head of the university's Department of Military Science, told the Tulsa World.
McHugh said the decision by the commanding general of the 3rd Army ROTC region to allow the students who cheated to be commissioned was "even-handed."
He declined to release the cadets' names.
The investigation began about 10 days after a March 20 test on military ethics when a cadet said there had been cheating. The one-hour test had been unmonitored, as is normal under the seniors' honor code.
A three-day closed hearing weeded out the cheaters, McHugh said.
"They have the right to decline to testify, but everyone came forward and talked," McHugh said.
