William Mullins, manager of signals and alarms, said today that city crews will check on the star to try to determine the problem.
"We got some calls about it, but I don't know now what caused the problem - whether it was a blown fuse, a time clock being off or some other electrical problem," Mullins said.
Mullins said the city will try to get the star back on as quickly as possible, but he wasn't sure whether crews would get to it today.
