\ Archie Edmondson Mayo, age 76, 1216 Melrose Ave., N.W. passed away in a local hospital on Friday. He was a retired dining car employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Mayo; four daughters, Marvel Mayo, Shirley Mayo, Brenda Mayo, all of Roanoke; and Virginia Stewart, of Columbus, Ohio; five sons, Nathaniel Mayo, William Mayo, both of Roanoke; James Mayo, Clarence Mayo, and Frank Mayo, all of Washington D.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Griffin, Roanoke; 37 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
