IF DROPPED BY BC/BS, COMPLAIN

PEOPLE who are being dropped from group insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield need to complain. I am writing Sen. John Warner, Sen. Charles Robb, Rep. Jim Olin, the state insurance commissioner and anyone else who will listen to me.

I have been a member of BC/BS group insurance for 22 years. Now they tell me that because last year my group used more than we paid in, we are being dropped.

They will do me the great favor of putting me in a non-group. This will cost me $453.59 a month with no prescription card and a $300 deductible.

I can't afford favors like this. I feel I am being discriminated against because I am a diabetic. Why can't they take some of the money I paid in for 22 years and didn't use, to help pay my bills for last year?

Anyone among the people being dropped should complain. The address for the insurance commissioner is: State Corporation Commission, Bureau of Insurance, Life and Health Division, P.O. Box 1157, Richmond, VA 23209.

I can be contacted at 992-3718. LOUISA STENIM TROUTVILLE
