OBIT ALLEY, C.

Clara Dean Alley, age 72, of Route 1, the Flatwoods Community, died Friday night in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Wythe County, a daughter of the late Calvin and Minnie Frazier Dean. She was a mmeber of the Flatwoods Church of God for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Lee V. Alley; one daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Everett Stuart, Austinville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Swanson and Hazel Alley, Austinville; Robert Alley, Carthage, Tenn.; the Rev. Jerry and Linda Alley, Grundy; the Rev. Bobby and Joyce Alley, Route 2, Max Meadows; three sisters, Naomi Williams, Thomasville, N.C.; Annie Casey, Asheboro, N.C.; Hazel Parks, Annawalt, W.Va.; two brothers, Cloyd Dean, Austinville; Henry Dean, Asheboro, N.C.; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Flatwoods Church of God with the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry and the Rev. Dr. K.B. Arnold officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Reese Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday or at the residence of her daughter, Hazel Stuart, at any time. Arrangements by Reese Funeral Home, Austinville.
