ROANOKE COMPETITOR WINS VIRGINIA BIATHLON

Michael Glowczynski of Roanoke was the overall winner of the Virginia Biathlon on Saturday.

Glowczynski completed the three-mile run, 20-mile bicycle race and additional three-mile run in 1 hour, 31 minutes, 17 seconds.

Wendell Scott of Roanoke finished in 1:50:22, Dr. Julius Crowgey of Roanoke was first in the 60-over age group in 1:56:13 and Artie Levin of Roanoke was second in that age group in 2:58:10. - Staff report
