Mrs. Margaret Scott Fields, age 77, of Vinton, died Monday, May 7, 1990. She was a member of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Charlie R. Fields; brother, Glenn Scott, Vinton; sister, Miss Lucille Scott, San Francisco, Calif.; a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church or the Vinton First Aid Crew. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
