EASTERN AIRLINES OFFERING REFUNDS

In an attempt to win back the business traveler, Eastern Airlines announced Monday that it would refund the fare of any first-class customer who finds the service unsatisfactory.

Martin Shugrue, the trustee appointed by the bankruptcy court to run the airline, said, "We are so confident in the quality of our product that we will provide a full refund if the customer believes he didn't get full value at `Y-Not' prices."

Under the "Y-Not" fares customers can fly first class at rates 15 percent below the regular coach fare.
