OBIT CRAWFORD, B.

Bernice Stillwell Crawford, age 63, of the Barren Springs community, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 1990, at the Alleghany Hospital in Sparta, N.C. She was born in Carroll County, Va., on May 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Fred and Dovie Cox Stillwell. She was retired from Pulaski Furniture Company in Dublin. She was a member of the Riverview Church of God in Draper and was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Crawford, Sr. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Claude J., Jr., and Janice S. Crawford, Rt. 2, Max Meadows; Samuel C. and Kelly D. Crawford, Barren Springs; Paul J. Crawford, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie C. and Edward J. Jones, Radford; Jean C. and Wayne C. Sparks, Sparta, N.C.; three grandsons, J. D. Jones, Yancy Sparks and Jefferson Samuel Crawford; five granddaughters, Charlene Crawford, Dona Lee Crawford, Tracy Jones, Sara Jo Crawford and Charon Sparks; one sister, Gertie S. Crawford, Barren Springs. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverview Church of God with the Rev. Michael Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Crawford Family Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church Thursday evening where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, is in charge of the arrangements.
