AGAIN, U.S. SELLS LITHUANIA OUT

HOW CAN WE sit by and let Mikhail Gorbachev brutally deny Lithuanian independence?

Cutting off oil and gas, taking over printing plants, bringing in troops are a few of the tactics Gorbachev is using to bring the brave Lithuanians to their knees.

Lithuania does not need the Soviet Union because Lithuania produces more than it uses. Freedom is denied because all the Baltic states are an economic asset to the U.S.S.R.

Our gutless, spineless decision not to use economic sanctions against the U.S.S.R. is shameful and cowardly. Once again Lithuania is sold out by the United States because of our fear it might jeopardize trade agreements. Freedom will never be achieved in Lithuania if the United States of America sits idly by without any condemnation.
