AAUW AWARDS RE-ENTRY SCHOLARSHIP

The American Association of University Women recently awarded a re-entry scholarship to Delores Cortez Walker, a student at New River Community College in Dublin. Walker was one of four recipients of the scholarships, given to women who are continuing interrupted educational pursuits.

Walker, who re-entered college after a 21-year absence, is working toward a certificate in computer operations.

Walker, along with Sheila Scott, Darlene Cowan and Donna Smith, will be honored at a meeting in Blacksburg on May 22.
