BROOKS, MYRTLE A.

\ Myrtle Adams Brooks, age 69, widow of Raymond Brooks, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, May 10, 1990. She was a member of the Vinton Wesleyan Church where she was a Sunday School techer for 43 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; grandson, Kenneth Robert Brooks, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Pat Flippen Brooks; and her mother and father. Survivors include five faithful and loving children and in-laws, Darlene and Howard M. Lindsey, Amelia; Raymond (Tommy) Brooks, Vinton; Joyce and W. Otey Heck, Thaxton; Sandra and Gary Correll, Vinton; Kenneth and Debbie Brooks, Vinton; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two faithful sisters, Marie A. Meadow, Evelyn A. Meador; three brothers, David Earl Adams, Rev. Ed Adams and Roy C. Adams; two aunts; one uncle; two faithful and devoted friends, Virginia F. Wray and Donna Jackson Richards; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. Dr. Flavy Brown and Rev. Roger Smith will officiate. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to the Vinton Fire Department. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
