MILLS COLLEGE TO RECONSIDER COED CHOICE

In a victory for striking Mills College students, the executive committee of the college's board of trustees has voted unanimously to reconsider its vote to admit male undergraduates if it receives detailed plans for the rescue of the financially troubled school.

"All riiiight,!" cheered students who listened to Thursday's announcement from Mills president Mary Metz.

However, incoming student body president Melissa Stevenson-Dile said the students would not call off the campus-wide strike, which has halted all college business since last Friday, until the board actually does rescind its vote. - San Francisco Chronicle
