WITNESS CAN'T RECALL ALLEGED MOLESTATION

After squirming on the witness stand and sobbing in her father's arms, the first child witness in Raymond Buckey's retrial repeatedly said she couldn't remember if she was molested at the McMartin preschool.

"I don't remember if it happened or not," the 11-year-old said when asked if Buckey touched her sexually.

At the conclusion of cross-examination, Buckey's lawyer, Danny Davis, asked the girl whether she was sodomized.

"I don't remember," she said.

The 31-year-old Buckey is charged specifically with raping the girl and using a foreign object to sodomize her.
