\ RURAL RETREAT - Garland `'Shorty" Herbert Buck, age 67, died Thursday, May 10, 1990, at his Rural Treat home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret "Madeline" Buck, Rural Retreat; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Cathy Buck; Barry and Donna Buck; Joey and Darlene Buck, all of Rural Retreat; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Adrian Hilton; Carolyn and Sidney Gullion; and Susan Buck; all of Rural Retreat; eight sisters, Mrs. C.W. (Monie) Repass; Mrs. Jack (Nadine) Dutton; Mrs. Herbert (Evelyn) Hart; Mrs. Elsie B. Snavely; Mrs. Raymond (Cecile) Umberger; Mrs. Fred (Hazel) Cox; Mrs. Leon (Eva) Spraker; and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Crockett; two brothers, Vance M. Buck; Louis "Bill" J. Buck; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Nannie Welch; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. Seaver-Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
