CHRISTIANSBURG MAN DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE

Harry Carver of Christiansburg is expected to be named executive director of the state Democratic party.

Carver served as Southwest Virginia coordinator for Gov. Douglas Wilder during his 1989 gubernatorial campaign. He is currently working in an apprenticeship program at the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry.
