ACLU SUIT SAYS STUDENT PRESSURED

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a third-grader whom the group says was pressured to join Bible classes taught on school grounds.

The lawsuit filed Friday in federal court accuses the W.W. Robinson Elementary School of violating First Amendment provisions separating church and state.

The suit said teachers pressured the boy and others to join the supposedly voluntary classes and harassed him when his parents refused to allow it.
