\ James Francis Hardwick of Salem, died early Sunday morning. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Gough Hardwick; one daughter, Susan Hardwick Murdoch; three sons, Michael M. Hardwick, Roland A. Hardwick, James G. Hardwick; two grandchildren, James Craig Martin, IV and Leslie Hardwick Martin. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 on Tuesday, May 15, at Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. James G. Holloman of the First United Methodist Church in Salem will officiate. Funeral arrangements are by the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
