ROANOKER STABBED

A Southeast Roanoke man told police he was stabbed in the side early Sunday after trying to break up a fight near his home.

Steven Derek Sands, 20, of Seventh Street said one of the men involved in the fight pulled a knife, chased him a short distance and stabbed him in the right side.

Raymond Franklin Moore Jr., 19, of Seventh Street, was charged with malicious wounding. Sands was treated at Community Hospital.
