BIKE RACES PLANNED MAY 26 AND 27

May 26 and 27 is the Blacksburg Mountain Magic Bicycle Race Weekend. On May 26, the Taco Bell Criterium will be held on the Virginia Tech campus. The races will run 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and include events for everyone from children and novices to upper level U.S. Cycling Federation riders.

Novice riders may enter only the Saturday race. The Sunday race is restricted to USCF-registered riders only.

The Diet Pepsi Race-to-the-Lake is a 60-mile road race beginning at noon May 27. It will start at the Blacksburg Community Center and finish at Mountain Lake Resort.

The entry fee is $15 for category two and three USCF riders, $10 for all other USCF category riders, and $5 for novices.

The pre-registration deadline is May 21. Participants will be able to pick up race packets and register on the morning of the Taco Bell Criterium.
