BUSINESS REPORT FINDS VA.'S ECONOMY HEALTHY

Strong demand for general merchandise and services but slower sales of major items were reported during the first quarter by the Virginia Business Report at the College of William and Mary. Lower car sales and lower building permit totals were evident.
