Although it has been three months since Drexel's parent filed for bankruptcy, only the brokerage firm's hourly employees had received any severance payments before last week. Last week, checks were supposed to go out to all employees who earned less than $200,000 a year.
Many employees contacted Monday said that they did receive their checks, but ex-Drexel employees who joined ex-Drexel equity division head Arthur Kirsch at County NatWest Securities USA did not receive any payment.
