CHOCKLETT, BERTIE F.

Miss Bertie Frances Chocklett, age 78, of 3810 Melrose Ave., N.W. died Tuesday, May 15, 1990, in a local hospital after a long illness. She was long standing member and secretary of the Sunday School Department of First Church of the Brethren for over 25 years. She was formal employee of the American Viscose and Arlans Department Store. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mae Fore, Salem; three brothers, Eugene, George and Thomas (Bill) Chocklett, all of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, with the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 12:00 noon Wednesday.
