OBIT AKERS, N.

Nancy Jane Akers, age 61, of Roanoke, died May 14, 1990. She was the daughter of the late Tazewell B. Akers and Lucy H. Akers, of Roanoke and Floyd County. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Beckwith F. Akers. She is survived by a sister, Mary A. Duncan, Richmond; four brothers, Willard T. Akers, Floyd; Walter J. Akers, Roanoke; James B. Akers, Bassett; and Ernest H. Akers, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her nephews, Willard T. Akers, Jr.; Walter J. Akers, Jr.; Donald J. Akers; Beckwith F. Akers, Jr.; James Brooks Akers, Jr.; Richard S. Akers; Stephen C. Akers; Ernest H. Akers, Jr.; Jeffrey Duncan and John Duncan will serve as Palbears. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Funeral Home in Roanoke Thursday, 1:00 p.m. May 17, with the Rev. Kenny Wurtzburger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lotz Funeral Home, Franklin Rd.
