ARM WRESTLERS TO COMPETE IN WYTHEVILLE

The 1990 World Arm Wrestling Championships will be held Thursday through Saturday.

Competitors from Spain, the Netherlands, Scotland, West Germany, England, Japan, Israel, Canada and the United States are scheduled to participate.

Activities will start with a reception Thursday for participants in Elizabeth Brown Memorial Park. Weigh-ins will be held Friday.

Preliminaries start Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with finals getting under way at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $4, with children younger than 12 admitted free.

The competition is sponsored by the World Arm Wrestling Council and will be held at the Wytheville Community Center. The Wytheville Ramada Inn is the host motel.
