Edward Clayton Dixon, age 69, died May 14, 1990, in a Lexington hospital. He was born in Staten Island, N.Y. the son of the late John and Anna Pyles Dixon. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Hartwell Dixon, Glasgow; one daughter, Mrs. Julia M. Heard, Atlanta, Ga.; two foster sons, Kenneth Lewis and Russell Henson, both of Glasgow; one brother, John Dixon, Dayton, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Adele Scott, Mrs. Marian Ellam, Mrs. Anna Owens, all of Staten Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Hope Myers, Augusta, Ga.; one son-in-law, Melvin Heard, Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Artis Appling.
