Miss Carrie T. Sibold, age 86, died Wednesday, May 16, 1990, at George B. Kegley Manor Nursing Home in Bastian, Va. Miss Sibold was one of four ladies to graduate from V.P.I. in 1925. She was a member of the Women of the E.I.C.A., Blacksburg A.A.R.P., St. Michael (Happy Go Lucky Club), Montgomery County, R.S.V.P., Canasta Club, Tuesday Afternoon Book Club, New River Valley Historical Society, and Mildred Wingard Doll Club. She retired from V.P.I. Alumni Association in 1969. Surviving are a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday ,May 19, 10:30 a.m. at Luther Memorial Luthran Church. The Rev. Gary Schroeder will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 600 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
