Mrs. Eula Hylton Agee, age 89, of Rt. 4, Stuart died Thursday in the Blue
Ridge Nursing Home. She was the widow of George Cleveland Agee, Sr. who died
November 17, 1968. She is a native of Patrick Co., Va.; the daughter of the
late James William Hylton and Lucinda Mary Wood Hylton. She is a member of the
Smith River Church of the Brethren. She is survived by one son, George C.
Agee, Jr., of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Ronald D. Haley, of Stuart; G.
Steven Agee, of Salem; Phillip L. Agee, of Roanoke; Andrew B. Agee, of
Roanoke; Carole M. Agee, of Danville; and Pamela A. Nowlin, of Stuart; three
great-grandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Eva
Baliles Agee, of Roanoke. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs.
Shirley Agee Haley; and a son, Garland Agee. The funeral will be Saturday at
1:00 p.m. at the Smith River Church of the Brethren with burial in the
Woolwine Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Luther N. Hopkins will officiate. The
family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Moody
Funeral Home in Stuart.
