OBIT BURNS, S.

Sallie J. Burns, age 91, widow of Samuel E. Burns, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 17, 1990. She is survived by six daughters, Pauline Beckner Lambert, Lois B. Bingham and Katherine B. Custer, all of Roanoke; Polly B. Vickers, Dora (Toby) Roop and Peggy B. Earp, all of Richmond; one deceased daughter, Barbara (Bobby) Layman; also twenty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Remains rest at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond, Va., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday and where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Then to Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Chamblissburg, Va., for services at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
