COPELAND, DUNCAN\
Duncan Copeland, age 21, of Wytheville and formerly of Independence, Va.,
passed away Wednesday, May 16, 1990, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke,
Va. from injuries received in an automobile accident in Wythe County Tuesday
evening. He was a graduate of Wytheville Community College. Surviving are his
mother and stepfather, Glenda and Alvin E. Crane, Jr. of Wytheville, Va;
father, Danny Copeland of Relay, Md.; his maternal grandparents, Hoyt and
Glenna Osborne of Independence, Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. G. L.
Duncan of Sparta, N.C. Graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00
p.m. in the Bridle Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Fred E. Jennings officiating.
The body will remain at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, Va.
where the family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of
flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Duncan
Copeland Scholarship Fund at Wytheville Community College in Wytheville, Va.
The family will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Hoyt Osborne in Independence, Va.
Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
