SONOKLECT FESTIVAL CONTINUES AT W&L

Concerts featuring the music of nationally known composers will highlight Sonoklect, the weeklong festival of new music at Washington and Lee University in Lexington.

The Sonoklect Ensemble, nine professional musicians in residence during the festival, will present concerts at 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday in Lee Chapel. A reception at the W&L Alumni House will follow Saturday's concert.

Ellen Rose, principal violist with the Dallas Symphony will hold an informal seminar at 4 p.m. today in Northen Auditorium. She will address "Preparing for a public performance."

The pre-concert discussion at 7 p.m. with composers Don Freund, Margaret Brouwer and Chinary Ung, will be in Lee Chapel. The concert follows at 8.

On Saturday, Ung will lead a seminar at 10 a.m. in room 327 of the Commerce School. At 3 p.m., Ung will join Earle Brown and Frederick Fox in a panel discussion at the same location.

Saturday's pre-concert discussion with Earle Brown and Robert Stewart will be at 7:15 p.m. in Lee Chapel. The concert follows at 8.
